Finding the Perfect Plan

With hundreds of mobile recharge plans available, finding the right one can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack. That’s why we’ve built a powerful filtering and sorting system into PlanPick. Here is everything you need to know to navigate our toolbar effectively.

Initial State of Filters & Sorts

When you first land on the Plan Explorer, we set a few defaults to show you the most relevant plans immediately:

  • Operators (Tabs): All major operators (Airtel, Jio, Vi, BSNL)
  • Search (Filter): Empty by default.
  • Plan Type (Chip Filters): The default view shows All regular plans.
  • Null (Hide Filters): The default view hides plans with no calls validity
  • Sort Order: The initial sort is by Cost per Day (Low to High) and then by Data per Day (Low to High) to help you find affordable options quickly.

How to Use the Toolbar

The toolbar at the top of the plan list is your control center. Here’s how to use each tool:

1. Selecting Operators

If you are loyal to a specific network or want to compare just two, click the Operators Tabs. You can select Airtel, Jio, Vi, or BSNL. The list will instantly update to show only plans from your selected providers.

2. Search (Filter)

Need at least 2GB of data per day? Use the Search filter.

  • Use it to search for specific keywords like “2 GB/Day” or “365 days” or “1 month”

3. Sorting by individual column

Looking for an annual plan or just a quick monthly recharge?

  • Use the individual Column Sorts Ascending (low to high) or Descending (high to low)
  • You can set it to exactly 365 days for annual plans or 28/30 days for monthly ones.

4. Null Filters

Look for the advanced filter options to find niche plans:

  • OTT Benefits: Filter for plans that include Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney+ Hotstar.
  • 5G Access: Toggle the 5G filter in null filter to only see plans that offer unlimited 5G data.

5. Sorting by multi-sort menu

Once you’ve filtered down your list, use the Sort button to organize them:

  • Price: Sort from Lowest to Highest (great for budget hunters)
  • Cost/Day: Sort by the most affordable plans.
  • Cost/GB: Sort by the most cost effective data plans.
  • Value: Sort by Cost per GB or Cost per Day to find the absolute best bang for your buck.

With these tools, you can slice and dice the database to find the exact plan that fits your lifestyle and budget. Happy searching!
